Emerald Horizon Celtic Urn
A tall urn, narrow at the base, broadening at the center and narrowing again at the top. The Glaze has been applied over two Glaze firings to create the depth and range of color, and easily 40 plus shades of green. This urn is truly an art piece, as you look at it the colors seem to change with so many different greens it feels like you are gazing into the Irish Countryside. The piece has been discreetly embellished with a center ribbon of 24karat gold that is reminiscent of a Celtic belt on ancient tunics.
Photography does not do it justice and the owner of the Irish urns, Bob Hamilton, suggests you arrange a video call with him so that he can properly display the detailing, not just of the Glaze but also the overall shape, size, and unique lid.
This is truly something very special, we just made two and will never / can never recreate these as the process involved was unique and the Glazing difficult to replicate
