Torc Celtic Cremation Urn – Large – Mountain Bracken (Base is extra)

Design Influence

The double spiral on this urn for ashes has many meanings. One popular interpretation is that of a partnered life, each spiral being the eternal energy for the other. The double spiral is found at many Celtic gravesites and has also been linked not only to the solstices but to the idea of death and rebirth as well. Each urn has the powerful Celtic spiral detailed in the lid, a discrete emblem, influenced by our Irish heritage. Spiritually, the spiral represents a connectivity with the divine, spiralling from the outer ego (the outside world) into the inner soul (cosmic awareness and enlightenment). The spiral also represents evolution and growth of the spirit. Torcs were worn by Celtic noblemen and women as a necklace and were considered as protection in life and in the afterlife. This collection represents all that is the heart of the Irish. The glaze on each urn is slightly different as it is hand poured - we are happy to email images of the actual one we will send. An optional extra with the Urn is a handmade Oak plinth - Created by an Irish National award-winning Wood turner. There is also an option to arrange an engraving on request. See sample image.

Celtic Cremation Urn Colours

The glaze colour on the Torc Celtic Cremation Urn represents the greens of our land as it touches our coast seagrass, golden sand and moss-covered rocks along our shoreline. The blues represent the depths of our seas and lighter blue where the sea washes up on our beaches to meet sea moss-covered rocks along our shoreline.

Radek – Land and Sea- Cremation Urn Collection

He seeks his Celtic Urn inspiration from living with his family near the Fingal shoreline, bordered between an abundant sea and the most fertile land in Ireland. He has developed exception Cremation Urns. His Irish land and Sea Cremation Urn collection is appreciated by people across the globe for the design, the colors, the glazing technique, and the individuality of each and every Urn. Creating a collection that represents our Island nation with hand-worked glazes that are inspired by the Irish coastline.

He has a unique style and his heart is invested in the art of each unique creation.

To create his Irish land and Sea Cremation Urn collection designs he tried many prototypes and tweaking them until he had unique creations that both represented our Celtic past and would honor the individual and family while avoiding the typical shamrock and Leprechaun for more authentic symbolism. The glazes created many chalenges as the colors needed to reflect what is found in our landscape and sea. The glazing on each Urn is carefully hand-poured and therefore each Urn has a unique glaze pattern not found in any other Urn. A winner of numerous design awards and more recently Irelands’ premier design ‘Showcase’ event and won the best ceramic design award nationally and as his works have been presented to our current president Michael D. Higgins they are in demand.
